PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Welcome to your monthly newsletter.  This is your newsletter as it is your club.  I feel very privileged to be the President of your club.  I speak for myself as well as your board members when I say that we are always trying to make your club one of the best equine clubs in the State of Arizona.  However, we CAN NOT do it alone.  We need input and help from our members.  Our scheduled annual membership meeting at Bill Johnsons had to be cancelled due to the fact that we didn't have enough RSVP's to even reserve the conference room.  A yearly membership meeting is a great way to get to know your board members, suggest events you would like for the following year, possibly volunteer to lead a ride, host a clinic, whatever.  Our last ride at Little Eldon Campground north of Flagstaff was very successful even with the threat of rain over our heads.  It was wonderful to see so many members join in.  How can we get this kind of participation on more rides and events?  As I'm sure everyone is aware, members are welcome at our monthly board meeting.  We also need more board members.  Please, come join us!  You may also E-mail me at judikay99@yahoo.com or call me or any board member with any comments or suggestions you may have.

The 2007 National Trail Ride is on track and will be a lot of fun!  We have a great entertainer, Sue Barr, coming from New Mexico.  We'll have Cooper's Barbque provide the food, as they have done such a great job in the past.  We have 11 Committee members working on making this a ride to remember!  Registrations are already coming in, so if you want to sign up, don't wait too long as the ride is limited to 75 riders.  A copy of the registration will be sent out with the November newsletter, or you can download one HERE.
