What a perfect weekend! Great weather, trails, food and most
of all, companionship! We have all been riding together for
so long it feels like family! We enjoyed Saturday’s ride
that Karen and Sam have been working on for so long. It was
a new trail going around the Belmont Mountains giving us some new
spectacular views. The going was pretty easy and we were
able to do some easy gaiting on Sunday. Saturday nite’s
traditional Christmas potluck was quickly consumed by 14 hungry
riders so we could get down to the gift exchange. That
always produces lots of Oohs, Ahhhhs and lots of laughs. I
think I speak for everyone that it certainly is nice to have a
youth rider now joining us. For a young lady of only 10
years of age, she is quite the rider. We enjoy her smiles
and easy humor.
We are all anxious for the National Trial Ride in
January. We are now booked up with 75 riders and even have a
few on a waiting list at this time. After much pre-riding in
this area its hard to choose which trails to share with our
visitors. They are all so beautiful and we want to share
them all!
February’s ride is still in progress. We may be able to
ride Seven Springs, but are still researching this
possibility. The January National Trail Ride and post rides
may keep us busy for a while! The post rides will be held in
Sonoita and St David. Even if you weren’t able to attend
the National, you are welcome to join us for the post rides.
