NEW YEARS RIDE JAN 2007 This is the best way I know of to start of the New Year! Ten lucky riders braved the cool weather to camp and ride at Bumblebee, the location of the 2007 National Trail Ride. We were very pleased to have Lothar Rowe and 2 of his riders, Billy Dean, Homer Harmon, and his friend Dick, Dan & Jeanette Green, Clare & Carol Ross, John Bayes & Denise ride with us. |

Billy Dean was kind enough to lead the ride for us as he is very
familiar with this area. On Saturday we rode to the Spanish Fort. The last
portion of the trail was on foot, but the views were well worth the climb!
On
Sunday, it was off to Antelope Falls to see the petroglyphs. On the way back to
camp, we encountered a skunk. We gave him a wide berth and had no problems.
This
area offers every kind of trail you can imagine-soft wide washes for gaiting,
rocky river beds, jeep trails and its all very beautiful! We enjoyed beautiful
blue skies, nice weather and excellent friendship! The potluck dinner was great,
as usual! Lothar treated us to some delicious home made German potato soup,
great for those cold desert nights. There was also ham, sweet potatoes, corn
bread and lots of deserts.
